Biography:
Patrick Nicholson graduated with honours from University College Dublin in 2009. He completed three years of basic surgical training followed by radiology residency in Ireland. He then completed two years of interventional neuroradiology fellowship training - one in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin (the national neurosurgical referral centre for Ireland) and one in Toronto Western Hospital, finishing in June 2018. He is currently completing an additional year of fellowship training in diagnostic neuroradiology on the University of Toronto citywide program. Special interests include neurovascular imaging and the endovascular management of stroke and intracranial haemorrhage.
Hans Kortman is the interventional neuroradiology fellow of 2019. Born and raised in the Netherlands, he studied medicine at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. After graduation he pursued training in neurosurgery and radiology. He recently completed radiology specialty training in the Netherlands and is eager to actively participate in the INR program at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging.
