Biography: Spyridon (Spyros) Karadimas is a second-year neurosurgery resident at the University of Toronto. He completed his medical degree at the University of Athens, Greece and his PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto. Spyros' research is dedicated to investigating the neural networks and motor control in health and disease. Spyros has received numerous international awards for his research including the American Spinal Injury Association Apple Award for the best research in the spinal cord injury worldwide. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as Nature and Science Translational Medicine and highlighted in Nature Reviews Neuroscience. Spyros intends to pursue his clinical interest in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery and continue to investigate brain circuitries.
